# Logout

## Usage

```sh
merfolk logout [flags]
```

## Description

Ends the current CLI session. After logging out, commands that require account access will prompt you to run `merfolk login`.

## Flags

| Flag     | Description           |
| -------- | --------------------- |
| `--json` | Output result as JSON |

## Examples

```sh
merfolk logout
```

## Output

On success, prints a confirmation message. With `--json`:

```json
{ "status": "logged_out" }
```

## Exit codes

| Code | Meaning                 |
| ---- | ----------------------- |
| `0`  | Logged out successfully |
| `1`  | Error removing session  |
